Mission
al-Maṣādir documents what the classical Islamic primary sources actually say on subjects that are widely discussed — and often misquoted — in public debate. Every entry reproduces the original Arabic, provides English, Bengali, and Spanish translations, cites the exact source (book, volume, number, grading), and places the text in its classical context, including the qualifications and dissents recorded in the classical tradition itself.
Stance
The archive is neutral by design. It does not argue that the classical sources justify or condemn anything. Its only claim is accuracy: the texts are reproduced faithfully, the citations are verifiable, and the context shown is the context the classical scholars themselves recorded. Readers of every position can therefore use the archive with the same confidence.
Editorial independence
The archive is a self-contained static site: no advertising, no tracking, no third-party scripts, no user accounts, no comments. It is funded and maintained independently, and its content is version-controlled in a public repository so that every change is visible and reviewable.
License
Classical texts (Qur'an, hadith, and the classical works quoted) are public-domain documents of pre-modern authorship. Editorial translations, context notes, and the site itself are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, with attribution to al-Maṣādir.

This site is a documentary research archive, not a religious authority. It issues no fatwās, provides no religious guidance, and takes no position on the modern application of the material it documents. Queries about what Islam 'requires' today should be addressed to qualified scholars of the relevant tradition.
